Manage Model Variants
When some of the sizes of a model have a different number of sections than the others you can create a model variant.
This feature effectively creates a copy of the model through which you can manage two or more groups of sizes and their reports independently. The variants will then be grouped into a single model for which a single report can be generated.
Generating a single report from multiple variants is currently supported only for graphic reports. Table reports are still available separately for each variant.
To create a variant
Select the model in the dashboard.
Click the Model Options button at the top of the details column on the right.
Choose Add variant from the menu.
In the dialog a variant number will be shown, prefixed with "-v" after the model name. This number specifies the variant position when ordering the sizes during report generation.
Confirm by clicking Add variant.
You can change the variant position later in the window shown when opening the model.
Change the variant order
You can change the order of variants by dragging them by the three-bar icon on the left of the name in the variant selection window. The position is saved automatically as soon as the variant is released.
Delete a variant
To delete a variant select the model and click the button to open the variants window.
Click the trash can icon to the right of the variant name.
Confirm by checking the box to proceed with deletion.
This procedure can only delete a secondary variant. To delete the main model see the delete a model section.
